The Not Wedding blog said 2013 was going to be a year with a return to elegance. Pantone forecasts the hottest colors, and word is “grayed jade” is the hottest trend. Dramatic color statements were also predicted.
One of the biggest wedding sites, The Knot.com reports that beaded wedding dresses with “Great Gatsby” glamour is what’s hot for the Fall of 2013 and going into the new year.

When we attended the Southern Bridal Fair in Raleigh, North Carolina, we saw striking table settings the blended the rectangular farm table with elegance.
Also talking with Huffington Post was Amy Jacobs from Chandelier Events. She says that the popularity of “Farm-to-Fork” has extended ino wedding receptions. They may be family style meals where everyone shares from a platter, or small plates instead of a standard sit-down meal. She’s also seeing something she calls “roaming meals” where guests can “graze” as they walk around.
Jacobs also mentioned comfort food is still popular, and she’s seeing “cronuts” – donuts with dipping sauces, and basics like mac and cheese and sliders.
