We love catering at Raleigh’s important historic sites. The NC Museum of History is one of them, and that’s where the NC Sports Hall of Fame is.
Every year the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame inducts new members at an awards event held at the North Carolina Museum of History in downtown Raleigh.

We were honored when the Executive Director, Don Fish, asked that we come take care of the catering in a style befitting this event.
The excitement includes an exclusive awards dinner and a special awards event. People who have made sports history for North Carolina are chosen for inclusion into the NC Sports Hall of Fame. It’s a big deal for the winners, their families, friends and the sports players they worked with during their careers.
Catering by Design was proud this year to get a call from the Hall of Fame Executive Director Don Fish, asking us deliver what we do best for the actual awards event. (See our video about Catering in Raleigh at the NC Sports Hall of Fame.)
We had a a carving station. Seasonal fruit and a cheese ball with crackers. Various appetizers, including breads and spreads. And a plentiful dessert table.
In honor of one of the inductees, Dale Jarrett, the Winston Cup NASCAR Champion in 1999, and a 3 time Daytona 500 winner, who has his own line of food, we had a special section. There were Junior Johnson brand Pork Skins. Biscuits with ham and egg. Hot dogs.

Chef Greg Lewis: “Events like these with the NC Sports Hall of Fame are exciting for us, for me, as well as the Catering by Design team. It’s fun to be there where things are happening. And we do pride ourselves in going the extra mile with service – keeping a constant eye out to anticipate what guests need before they have to ask.”
