Before Choosing a Date

• Find out if your desired dates are available for:
  • Your wedding venue
  • Your reception hall
  • Your caterer
  • Your musician

Start 12 – 18 months ahead

• Choose and reserve the venue of your choice for:
  • Your wedding ceremony
  • The rehearsal dinner
  • The wedding reception

9 – 12 months ahead

• Begin catering arrangements for the rehearsal dinner and wedding reception / dinner
• Choose your photographer
• Choose (and order) your wedding dress (and any alterations)
• Choose your bridesmaid dresses (if they need to be made, or ordered in different sizes)
• Start shopping for:
  • Florists
  • Musicians (or DJs)
  • Cake Bakeries

4 – 5 months ahead

• Make guest lists for the rehearsal dinner and reception
• Choose invitations and order them
• Make arrangements for a tuxedo (buy, rent, alter)
• Make hotel reservations for out of town guests

2 – 3 months ahead

• Mail out invitations
• Arrange limousine service

1 – 2 months ahead

• Confirm rehearsal dinner venue
• Finalize menu and room set-up with caterer
• Confirm music list with the musicians or D.J.
• Confirm all other arrangements
