Learn How to Bake Homemade Bread
Homemade bread is very easy to make. It can also save you some money over the course of a year. Making your own bread is also a lot healthier. The bread you buy in the store is packed full of preservatives and other unhealthy things. Baking bread takes about an hour. Go Meatless at Least Once a Week
Cook at least one meal per week that does not include meat. Not only is eating less meat better for your health, but it’s also better for your wallet. You’ll be surprised at how much money you can save by using limited animal products in your recipes. If you have children, serving some vegetarian dishes will also help to expose them to a wider variety of foods as well.
Try Foods from Different Cultures

Learn How to Make Your Own Salad Dressings
Here’s another great resolution you should make in the new year, learning how to make different homemade salad dressings. Store bought salad dressings are high in calories and bad fats. They’re also full of preservatives and other chemicals to extend their shelf life and often use poor quality, cheap ingredients. Making your own is healthier and cheaper in the long run.
Take a Cooking Class
If you are lacking in the cooking skills department then sign up for a few cooking classes. If you do enough research you might be able to even find a few free ones offered by different groups or clubs in your city. You’ll find all different types of cooking classes for all skill levels.
